Mine Your Own Business is a brave, fair, and unrelenting defense of real capitalism, the private sector, sustainable development, and the creation of wealth. It takes a close look at impoverished villages in Romania, Madagascar, and Chile, examining the consequences for indigenous peoples when Western environmental groups decide to mount activist campaigns in developing nations. In doing so, it makes an important intervention on behalf of local peoples’ right to choose their own futures without interference from influential Western lobby groups. A powerful statement on behalf of dignity, human rights, and economic self-determination, the documentary gives a human face to those whose futures are threatened if the West continues to pursue environmental policies without considering their social and economic impact on the world’s most vulnerable populations.
