Synopsis

A stunning adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's short story "Harrison Bergeron," 2081 is set in a dystopian future where everyone is "equal every which way" a world in which a Handicapper General goes to enormous lengths to prevent competition and to eliminate innate human differences and natural talents. It is a stifling world that punishes individualism. 2081 stars James Cosmo (Braveheart, Troy, Chronicles of Narnia, Trainspotting), Julie Hagerty (Airplane!, What About Bob?), and Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger, The Social Network). It features a hauntingly beautiful musical score performed by the world-famous Kronos Quartet. A teaching episode version of this film is available on izzit.org.Official Film Website

“This was a FANTASTIC interpretation of Vonnegut's short story. I've long wished for something like this to show my students and this video definitely delivers when it comes to connecting what they've read. Thank you so much!”Teacher comment
