The Moving Picture Institute respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy and User Agreement (the “Agreement”) outlines information practices and responsibilities to users who visit TheMPI.org. Your use of the website or any MPI resources or services constitutes your agreement to the following terms and conditions.

Many pages on the website may be visited without revealing any personal information. In some instances, additional information is required in order to provide the services that you request.
In order to keep constituents updated about MPI’s current programs and activities, MPI offers subscriptions to our electronic mailing list free of charge. MPI currently sends this information via email. The only information we require to join our email list is your first and last name, and your email address. If you wish to receive MPI materials by mail, we will also require your street address, city, state, and zip code. If at any time you wish to change your preferences (or if you wish to remove yourself from distribution lists), you may do so by following the instructions in each email we send or by contacting us at info@thempi.org.
We share your personal information, such as your name, postal address and records of your transactions with us, with providers of data cooperative marketing services that serve carefully vetted marketers, which we refer to as Data Cooperatives. Data Cooperatives use the information provided by participating marketers to provide more relevant donation opportunities and marketing to consumers and reduce wasted donor outreach. We believe this allows us to more efficiently find new donors and serve existing donors to more effectively further our mission. No individual transaction information is shared with the other marketers, but rather it is used by the Data Cooperatives to provide services to all marketers who participate in the cooperative. More specifically, we share this information with Data Cooperatives so that they can analyze your donation patterns and determine what sort of causes and products are likely to appeal to you, and Data Cooperatives share your name and contact information with fundraisers who may represent those causes and marketers who may offer such products. You may receive information and materials regarding products offered by Data Cooperative clients. The list of these clients changes frequently, but includes non-profit organizations, large and small, retailers of apparel, collectables, gardening products, gadgets and technology products, health and beauty products, household goods and/or home interiors goods, as well as publishers and consumer services companies, among others. You agree to the sharing of the above-described information with Data Cooperatives and their clients and to be eligible to receive such materials when you sign up with us. If you wish to request that we do not share your personal information for third party marketing, such as through Data Cooperatives, please email us at info@thempi.org.
If you have any questions or concerns about the online Privacy Policy or its implementation, or if you would like to opt out from our sharing of your personal Information with unaffiliated third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes, you may contact our Privacy Policy Coordinator at the above address or privacy@thempi.org and request that we opt you out of such sharing. We may ask you to provide additional information for identity verification purposes, or to verify that you are in possession of an applicable email account.
If you have signed up to receive our emails and prefer not to receive marketing information from this Service, follow the “unsubscribe” instructions provided on any marketing email you receive from this Service.
